Features

Composite Long Rod Insulator and Suspension Insulators for Transmission Line are operational under varied ranges. In the HV segment, it ranges from 66 to 330 kV, in the EHV range from 400 to 765 kV and in the UHV range insulators are operational at 800 kV HVDC (420 kN), 1200 kV AC/320 kN (the highest operating voltage in the world). Composite Long Rod Insulator and Suspension Insulators are designed for operation in high corrosion areas. The elastomeric insulation is made of silicone rubber of the highest consistency type HTV from Dow Corning and the insulating core and terminals is a fiberglass composition of the ECR type, which provides great mechanical resistance to traction. The connecting horns can be made of galvanized steel or stainless steel.

The application of the insulators is in all environments including severely polluted coastal areas, hilly terrain, snowy locations, severe wind and desert pollution proving the wide worldwide acceptability. Composite Railway Insulators

These Composite Railway Insulators are manufactured as per IEC 61109 & RDSO standards.

The Composite Railway Insulators is used in tunnels of electrical railway under severe conditions. The (Silicon Rubber) Composite Railway Insulators can effectively prevent pollution flashover outage and free from cleaning maintenance work with a very small size, they can be substituted by porcelain or glass insulators in case of small tunnel space. The end fittings are crimped onto fiberglass rod with crimper. The connection location between end fittings & rods is fused with sheds housing by the overall high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber injection molding as it could minimize the interface.
